The holidays always seem to remind us of how blessed we truly are. We both have wonderful families, great friends, and a growing, nurturing marriage! During these tough economic times surrounding us, we continuously must remind ourselves of the blessings that we have in our lives. Thankfully, the holidays are a consistent reminder of how great of a life we truly do lead!
Christmas Break- We both have had a relaxing break from work, enjoying lots of time with family, friends, and the couch. We had a little "date night" at the Gaylord Texan ICE Exhibit (See Pics). The place was spectacular! We couldn't help but imagine how much fun it will be to take our children there one day. Following our ICE adventure, we ate at the Old Hickory Steakhouse in the Gaylord. Great food, terrible atmosphere, as we were surrounded by the trashiest couple that we have ever seen. Oh well, makes for good stories later!
New Years-We spent New Years Eve with our great friends the Carlozzi's, Randolph's, and the Edward's. It was a laid back night, yummy food-thanks to Jen, and lots of laughs. It was an early night, as seems to be the norm with this new pregnancy!
Wrap up of 2008- We had a great year! Looking back at our New Year's Resolutions from last year, we accomplished almost all. We paid off all of our credit card debt, boat, etc. Thank God for Dave Ramsey! Melissa lost her 10 lbs that she wanted to lose (even though it was during the last month and totally related to morning sickness) and we grew closer together spiritually! We are excited about all that 2009 has to offer! Mainly, we are bringing a baby into the world...SCARY! Our main New Year's Resolution this year is to become Godly parents to our new child-lots of prayers needed on this one! Thankfully we were both raised by wonderful loving families, who set the bar very high! We hope to do at least half the job that our families did with us! :)
